CygNet OPC Devices
CygNet Software supports several OPC EIEs, which support custom OPC group configuration in remote and communication devices, communication failover, and 64-bit drivers and editors, in a familiar configuration:
- OPC Comm EIE — The OPC Comm EIE communication device provides a connection between an OPC remote device EIE and an OPC server. The interface allows a user to display and edit data used to identify and configure a connection to an OPC server.
- OPC EIE — The OPC EIE supports controllers whose data is maintained by an OPC server. The OPC EIE uses the OPC Comm device to communicate with an OPC server. OPC is a client/server technology. One application acts as the server providing data, and the other acts as a client using data. The CygNet OPC EIE acts as an OPC client.
- OPC Lufkin EIE — The OPC Lufkin EIE supports controllers whose data is maintained by an OPC server. The OPC Lufkin EIE uses the CygNet OPC Comm device to communicate with an OPC server. OPC is a client/server technology. One application acts as the server providing data, and the other acts as a client using data. The OPC Lufkin EIE acts as an OPC client.
- OPC Weatherford EIE —The OPC Weatherford EIE supports controllers whose data is maintained by an OPC server. The OPC Weatherford EIE uses the CygNet OPC Comm device to communicate with an OPC server. OPC is a client/server technology. One application acts as the server providing data, and the other acts as a client using data. The OPC Weatherford EIE acts as an OPC client.
